제4회 울주세계산악영화제 공간디자인 및 제작

울주세계산악영화제(이하 UMFF)는 2016년 제1회를 시작으로 대부분 산으로 이루어진 울주의 자연 환경 자원을 바탕으로 산악문화 발전과 영상문화 저변확대를 목적으로 출발했습니다. 울주의 대표적 관광지인 영남알프스를 기반으로 지역자원을 활용하는 고유성과 개성을 반영한 축제를 목표로 2018년부터 시각예술기획단체 무소속연구소와 공동 협력관계를 맺고 공간기획 및 구성, 공간디자인등 공공디자인 영역과 커뮤니티 디자인을 통해 정체성을 차별화하고 지역적 특색을 아우를 수 있는 다양한 실험을 시도하고 있습니다.

무소속연구소와 UMFF는 영화제를 통해 지역의 문화와 커뮤니티가 지속하고 확장할 수 있는 방안을 고민하며 다양한 커뮤니티 발굴 및 연결을 지속해왔습니다. 지역특산물 판매, 지역상권의 단순 식음료 부스 참여에 그쳤던 이전의 시도에서 나아가 2019년부터 지역의 청년들이 직접 행사의 한 부분을 기획할 수 있도록 지원하고, 축제 공간에서 지역의 소상공인과 상생할 수 있는 ‘울주의 식탁’ 프로젝트를 울산대학교, 울산기록연구원과 함께 진행했습니다.

무소속연구소는 해당 지역의 고유한 문화 컨텐츠를 발견하고 다듬어나갈 수 있는 방식에 대해 함께 고민하고, 그 지역만의 브랜드를 확장할 수 있는 문화예술적 시도를 지속하고 있습니다.

Space Designer and Producer for the 4th Ulju Mountain Film Festival

Based on the mountainous fields surrounding the area, Ulju Mountain Film Festival (UMFF) began in 2016 to expand both mountain and film culture. From 2018, in collaboration with Musosoklab, various experiments such as space planning, space design and community design have been conducted to create UMFF’s unique identity while blending with the local colors.

Going beyond selling local specialties and simple food booths, Musosoklab and UMFF aimed to find ways in which the local culture and community could expand through the film festival. In 2019, we provided support for local youths to run booths at the festival, as well as working with the University of Ulsan and 울산기록연구원 to run ‘Ulju’s Table’ for local small businesses.

At Musosoklab, we aim to develop local cultural contents as well as artistically expand on regionally unique brands.
