2014년 《꽁시꽁시 : 두개의 시선》 로 시작된 꽁시꽁시 GongXi, GongXi 展은 한중작가 교류전으로 출발하여 한국과 중국, 조선족 사이의 역사와 문화인식을 살피고 예술가 각자의 정체성을 변 질문하는 방향으로 이어졌습니다. 황호빈(Huang Haobin)을 포함한 조선족 3세 작가들은 고향 연변을 떠나 중국에서 하지 못한 다양한 이야기를 한국에서 펼쳐보였습니다.
2017년《꽁시꽁시 : 친구의 힘(朋友的力量)》展에 이어 2018년 《꽁시꽁시 : 이층(異層)》展에서는 ‘친구’에서 ‘이웃’으로의 변화하며 한국과 중국작가의 틈새가 더욱 좁아졌습니다. 인천문화재단과의 협력으로 한국-중국 작가매칭 형태에서 나아가 팀별 인터뷰, 라운드테이블, 이론가의 비평을 통해 주제의 깊이를 더하는 과정으로 진행되었습니다.

‘GongXi, GongXi’ is a series of projects that focuses on the perception of history and culture from the standpoint of Koreans, Chinese and Korean-Chinese artists, as well as their identity. Leaving their home town Yanbian, Huand Haobin, along with other third generation Korean-Chinese artists speak the unspoken in Korea.
‘Gongxi Gongxi : Another Floor’ continues from ‘Gongxi Gongxi 2017’, further bridging the gap between Korean and Chinese artists to become ‘neighbors’. With the assistance of Incheon Foundation For Arts & Culture, artists from both countries conducted team interviews, participated in round tables, and reviewed theories to add depth to the exhibition.
